6 Week Scientific Direction Meeting
I meet with my supervisor once every 6 weeks for one half hour for scientific direction. Yes. I am expected to create my own project, design my own experiments and present the data. Scientific direction means I’m told which of my ideas could have been though of by a 12 year old handicapped primate.
That being said, my first meeting went well.

A recent Nature letter identifies differential brain activity patterning using magnetic resonance imaging from people brought up in an urban/city environment. Results link risks to higher stress leading to anxiety and schizophrenia to urban upbringing based on patterning in two brain regions: the amygdala and perigenual.
